Frank Biela And Gabriele Tarquini Join SuperTCC Series For Knockhill Round
After a lot of work behind the scenes we are very pleased to announce the second of our star driver's attending the Knockhill Racing Circuit Super Touring Car Festival. 1994 Official Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship , 2003 FIA ETCC and 2009 FIA WTCC Champion GABRIELE TARQUINI will be racing in our little series. Gabriele will be racing the Paul Whight owned 1996 Honda Accord in which David Leslie claimed Honda's first BTCC win at the Silverstone Round. What an absolute privilege to have such a legend (and i don't use that word lightly) along with Frank Biela visit our first event ever at Knockhill.
Knockhill are delighted to announce that Frank Biela, one of the greatest touring car and more recently sports car drivers of all time, will be the guest of honour at the David Leslie Super Touring Car Festival on Saturday 10th / 11th September. Frank and Audi Sport UK stunned the Autotrader British Touring Car Championship in 1996 with a truly dominant season in their ground breaking 4 wheel Audi A4 quattro. Frank had already had an illustrious career by then but went on to win the Le Mans 24 Hours five times, the Sebring 12 Hours in America four times as well as countless prestigious sports-prototype races across the world. He won the American Le Mans Series twice.
